An educational tool, not academic advising
The calculators apply standard grading formulas to the numbers you provide. They do not know your school's rounding policy, dropped-score rules, replacement policies, curves, or lab sections graded separately — all of which can change your real outcome. Nothing on this Site is academic advising, counseling, or financial or legal advice.
Results are estimates
Every result depends entirely on the numbers you type in. Your actual grade may differ because of:
- Instructor-specific grading and rounding policies
- Weighted category structures unique to your class
- Extra credit, bonus points or curves
- Dropped-score or exam-replacement rules
- Typos or missing data in what you entered
We aim for accurate formulas and cited grading scales, but we do not guarantee that a result will match your school's official record.
Your syllabus always wins
Letter thresholds and passing lines on this Site are typical US values with cited sources; your school's may differ. When they disagree, your syllabus and course catalog are correct and this Site is not. If your instructor rounds an 89.5 up to an A−, that is their policy, not arithmetic.
Decisions
Don't make enrollment, withdrawal, scholarship or financial-aid decisions on a calculator result alone. Confirm the real numbers with your instructor or registrar first. Use of this Site for any critical academic decision is at your own discretion and risk.
